I create naturalistic floral arrangements for special occasions including weddings, birthdays, anniversaries or any occasion that calls for flowers! I also provide floral arrangements on a regular basis for homes and businesses. Create a welcoming ambience for your customers.
I give hands-on workshops in floral design that are great opportunities to have fun while learning about flowers, floral conditioning, design and nature. At my workshops everyone goes home with something they made. Floral workshops are perfect for a ladies night, garden clubs, community groups or any group of flower lovers!
Choose from the two workshops below.
Learn easy techniques to create fantastic floral headpieces using fresh flowers, succulents, greens and mosses. What's more fun and feminine than wearing a floral crown? You'll learn about floral conditioning and preservation, and clustering and wrapping floral elements to make a headpiece. The same techniques can also be used to make wreaths for home decorations, house-warming gifts and corsages. These are great skills to have!
Create a miniature woodland arrangement to use as a table centerpiece. We use all sort of goodies from Mother Nature, including acorns, lichen and mosses, pine cones, and driftwood. We also use cut flowers, succulents and unusual foliage, which are placed in floral foam, keeping it fresh for longer.
Let your creative juices flow and enjoy making a beautiful natural arrangement that brings nature's serenity into your home.
I offer talks to gardening groups or any interested organizations. Previous talks have included 'Begonias 101' and 'Made in the Shade Container Gardens'. I have taken courses on floral design and technique with the Massachusetts Horticultural Society, Cass School of Floral Design, and workshops with Francoise Weeks and Holly Heider Chapple.
